Johnston, 22, of Wasilla, Alaska, married Sunny Oglesby - the mother of his second child - in October months after she became pregnant with a girl, whom the couple named Breeze Beretta after the Italian firearm.
But their wedded bliss may have taken a back seat on New Year's Eve, when Sunny allegedly attacked Johnston in front of horrified family members.

The witness told the magazine: 'She started biting, kicking and slapping him. Then she grabbed a knife and tried to stab him!'
The attack came after the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner and went to see New Year's fireworks with friends and family before returning home, according to the Enquirer.
But there, a remark from Johnston sent her flying into a rage, the source said, and sent her 'lunging' at the former Playgirl cover boy and 'calling him all kinds of names.'
'She had two martinis and then she just snapped, ranting and raving about Levi not thinking she was pretty enough.'
The source added: 'He was too stunned to defend himself and curled up in a fetal position while Sunny worked him over.'

'Thank God Sunny's mother and brother pulled it away from her as Levi ran off in terror. Finally, Levi's father Keith was able to restrain her.'
The Enquirer reported that the police were dispatched to the home, but no charges were filed and Sunny 'was already sleeping it off.'
A lawyer for Johnston, Rex Butler, told the New York Post's Page Six: 'We don’t have all the details on that yet.'
He added: 'We were not approached by The Enquirer and did not talk to them. I think sometimes things happen within families that have to remain that way.'
Johnston started dating Sunny in late 2010 - several months after Johnston's short-lived second engagement to Sarah Palin's eldest daughter Bristol crumbled.
Johnston was an 18-year-old high-school hockey player in Wasilla when he was thrust into the spotlight after Palin was selected as Sen John McCain’s running mate back in 2008.

Dad: Johnston claims his sour relationship with the Palins has resulted in limited visits with his son
He and Bristol, 21, ended their engagement shortly after the birth of their son Tripp in December 2008.
It was the start of some bad blood between Johnston and the Palins, which led to limited visits with his son.
While Bristol became a loud and proud advocate for abstinence - reclaiming her virginity and vowing not to have sex again until she's married - Johnston went on a different path.
In 2009, he stripped off for Playgirl magazine.
That same year, he struck up a friendship with comedienne Kathy Griffin, and accompanied her to the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.

In a 2010 interview with People magazine published just before he and Bristol got back together, Johnston issued an apology to the Palin family, proclaiming that he 'said things about the Palins that were not completely true'.
However, their relationship fizzled again, and he recanted the apology.
In his memoir Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs, published last year, he claimed that the former Alaska governor had a 'cougar crush' on him while he was dating Bristol.

She also claimed Johnston of spread 'false accusations against our family' and said his Playgirl spread made her want to 'puke'.
In 2011, Johnston announced he would run for mayor of Wasilla, the position held by Sarah Palin before she became the state's governor.
Six weeks before the election, however, he abandoned the campaign.
Last month, market research firm E-Poll listed Johnston ninth among the top 10 most overexposed celebrities, just ahead of Khloe Kardashian.
He was portrayed by actor and model Justin Gaston in the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning HBO film about the 2008 Republican campaign, Game Change
